Cathedral Palms Apartments
31-750 Landau Blvd., Cathedral City, CA 92234

Completely renovated upon acquisition, Cathedral Palms Apartments serve mostly seniors living on fixed incomes far below the poverty level. In 2009, HOPE surveyed residents and discovered an overwhelming 79% had low or very low food security. In response HOPE implemented an ongoing food distribution program which provides
fresh eggs, milk, bread, fruits, vegetables, and other groceries to seniors every week.

Social Services

HOPE’s Connections to Care program ensures that seniors have basic needs met, continue to exercise their mind and body, and remain socially connected.

Programs Offered

  • Care Manager works one-on-one with residents
  • “Dignity Grocery Store”
  • Book clubs and discussion groups
  • Walking club

Impact on Participants

  • Hope’s “Dignity Grocery Stores” helped more than 900 food insecure seniors monthly across all properties last year
  • 99% of residents surveyed at Cathedral Palms say that their Care Manager loves his job and it shows
