This modern five-story community was built with affordability in mind, offering 104 studio and one-bedroom apartments to residents earning 30%, 50% and 60% of the area median income (AMI). The Bailey at Stassney will be built overlooking the Williamson Creek Tributary, offering with a view of verdant trees to provide residents with a beautiful connection to nature.
Twenty-six apartments will be designated as Permanent Supportive Housing for residents who have experienced homelessness or were at risk of becoming homeless, individuals with physical, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, youths aging out of foster care, people transitioning out of institutionalized care and individuals unable to secure permanent housing elsewhere due to high barriers. The City of Austin committed $5.6 million to the creation of the Bailey at Stassney through its Rental Housing Development Assistance Program, which expands affordable rental housing for low-income households.
Developed by National CORE and Structure Development, this sprawling 2.36-acre community will be located near multiple transit stations, grocery stores, shops, restaurants, parks and an elementary school.
Residents at the Bailey at Stassney will enjoy a fitness center, community room with computer lab, onsite laundry facilities, bicycle storage area, offices and activity space for supportive services and an outdoor covered terrace.
