Orchard View Gardens will be a beautiful affordable housing community with 66 apartment homes serving seniors ages 62 and better on 1.76 acres in Buena Park. The development is a partnership between National CORE and St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, finding a new community benefit for underutilized church land.
A California Mission architectural style will complement the church and surrounding neighborhoods. A cluster of nine single-story casitas sits on the property’s north side with taller buildings to the west and at the center. Eight homes are reserved for seniors who have experienced homelessness.
Orchard View Gardens is located within walking distance of retail shops, grocery stores, parks and services. Amenities include a 3,000-square-foot community room, a fitness room, computer room, private patios and balconies, outdoor lounge area, recreational area and barbecues. The community is pet-friendly and features laundry facilities on each floor. A solar panel system will provide carbon-emission free energy for heating and cooling.
