Yucca Valley, Calif. – National CORE is hosting a grand opening on Tuesday, June 2, for its newest senior housing community, the 75-unit Dumosa Senior Village.
Built in partnership with the Town of Yucca Valley, Dumosa Senior Village is a modular-built facility featuring one- and two-bedroom units for residents 55 and older who meet income limits.
The community includes outdoor gathering areas, a laundry room, fitness room, community room and computer lab. It is located within walking distance of shopping, parks, the Yucca Valley Senior Center, the local library and the Hi-Desert Nature Museum.
“We’re proud to work with the Town and our many partners on this much-needed project. The demand for quality senior housing has never been greater,” said Steve PonTell, President and Chief Executive Officer for National CORE.
Yucca Valley Town Mayor George Huntington added, “We are pleased to be a partner in delivering this high quality, income affordable housing alternative for the seniors in this community. Through the hard work and dedication of the entire project team, many Yucca Valley seniors proudly call Dumosa Senior Village Home.”
In addition to the Town, partners include the County of San Bernardino, Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, R4 Capital Inc., JPMorgan Chase, the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee and Bonneville Mortgage Co. The architect was Togawa Smith Martin Inc. DCI Engineering Inc. handled the civil engineering. RRM Design Group served as landscape architect.
