Each year, National CORE and Hope through Housing recognize an employee who embodies our mission, spirit, and guiding principles with the I Am Hope Award. This year’s recipient, Tom Kulinski, is National CORE’s very first employee. During his 27 years with National CORE, Tom has proven to be hands-on, willing to step in and help whenever needed. This year was no different.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Tom has delivered hope to hundreds of children, families, and seniors across Southern California. He has been a lifeline to our residents, whether its delivering food to seniors on a Saturday, dropping off activity books to children who are isolated at home, or just being a friend to a resident who is scared and alone, Tom has been there to help.

As a Resident Services Manager for 16 properties in the Inland Empire, Tom often sees firsthand the struggles of our families and seniors. With compassion and a unique ability to connect with residents, Tom makes it easy for them to talk to him. “You become part of their family,” Tom says. Throughout his career, Tom has been a beacon of strength for the organization and a mentor to many of our employees.

National CORE and Hope through Housing are proud to honor Tom with this year’s I Am Hope Award!
