FONTANA, Calif. – Fall officially arrived in Fontana today. More or less …
“We wanted to celebrate this spectacular time of year with the people we’re here to serve – our residents,” Daniel Lorraine, Senior Vice President of Property Management for National CORE, said as hundreds participated in CORE’s inaugural Fall Festival.
The event took place at the nonprofit developer’s four properties in Fontana, and featured food, music and entertainment. Each property featured a different theme, from hula dancers to a fiesta, to the sounds of the 50s to classical and string music.
The four properties – Village at Sierra, Gardens at Sierra, Plaza at Sierra and Fountains at Sierra – total nearly 400 units near the heart of Fontana.
“Our philosophy at CORE is to transform lives and communities, and events such as today’s are a small part of that,” said Steve PonTell, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Rancho Cucamonga-based company. “Building better communities takes on many forms, but providing quality shelter is a pivotal element.”
Judy Brady can attest to that. At 73 with a litany of health issues, Judy never figured she would have the opportunity to live in a community as “high class” as the Fountains at Sierra.
“I was living a very unstable life, and never thought in my wildest dreams I would end up here,” Judy said. “This is my castle. I go out to the patio. I see my pool and the trees, and it is more peaceful here than you can imagine.”
In addition to residents, several community leaders attended today’s festival. Sponsors included City Council Member Michael Tahan, Advanced Environmental Landscape, Burrtec Waste Industries, Westcon Elevators, American Ride System, Smart Living Technologies, KJ Carpet, Wash Multifamily Laundry Systems, Steve’s Towing, Baldy Fire, Performance Pools and the Law Officers of Ed Palmer.
