City of Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval praised National CORE’s commitment to provide housing to those in need while uplifting residents through vital enrichment and support as part of the city’s celebration of Affordable Housing Month.

Sandoval and the City Council issued the special proclamation on May 19, with National CORE Community Development Director Sandra Espadas accepting the honor.

National CORE is one of the nation’s leading developers of affordable housing, with about 11,000 apartment homes across over 110 developments in California, Texas and Florida – including one in Pomona.

“National CORE is grateful to be recognized during Pomona’s Affordable Housing Month. It is very inspiring to know the goals of our organization align so deeply with the city’s mission,” Espadas said. “We hope we can continue this partnership for many years to come, to ensure future generations have access to housing that is safe, clean and affordable.”
