Amplify Communities, a National CORE enterprise, is proud to support the California Strategic Growth Council and its six Regional Climate Collaboratives (RCC) as they work to address the climate risks that challenge the state’s most vulnerable communities.

Amplify Communities is a team of urban planning professionals who unlock the opportunity in people and places to create sustainable communities.

Sixty representatives of the collaboratives – which represent cities, tribes and unincorporated communities from Siskiyou to Imperial Valley – gathered for their Fall Convening on Nov. 5-6 at Amplify’s headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga.

The collaboratives used the gathering to share insights with each other about best practices and lessons learned during their efforts to build partnerships among cities, nonprofits and residents to identify climate risks and implement programs to create community resiliency.

“It’s an extraordinary effort to see come together,” said Sandra Espadas, an Amplify project manager who provides technical assistance to the RCC groups. “This program has the power to transform our state and create opportunity for thousands of our most vulnerable communities.”

Amplify is assisted in its effort by Ersoylu Consulting and Farallon Strategies.
