Three National CORE, Hope through Housing team members honored with Bright Lights Awards

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Three National CORE (National CORE) and Hope through Housing Foundation team members were honored by the Southern California Association of Nonprofit Housing (SCANPH) for outstanding achievement in the area of affordable housing.
The recognition was part of SCANPH’s Bright Lights Awards, presented annually at the organization’s spring celebration.
Lesley Edwards, Vice President of Project Development, received the Unsung Hero Award. Lesley joined National CORE in 2003 as a financial analyst and transitioned to project management in 2005. Before joining National CORE she worked with the Orlando Housing Authority as chief accountant for several years.
Lynda Roman, a Services Coordinator for Hope through Housing at several low-income senior communities in Fontana and Riverside, received the Resident Services Award. Lynda is responsible for coordinating, promoting and delivering high quality services that lead to improved health and wellness.
Courtney Richard, a Relocation Specialist, was a finalist for the Property and Asset Management Award. Courtney joined National CORE in 2012 as a community manager and was later promoted to her current position. Among her accomplishments at National CORE, Courtney was able to turn around a distressed property with crime, low occupancy, compliance issues and financial challenges.
