  • New Headquarters for National CORE and Hope through Housing

We moved! National CORE and Hope through Housing relocated our shared headquarters to a larger building in our hometown of Rancho Cucamonga. Both organizations have seen significant growth over the last few years as we work to transform lives and address the affordable housing crisis.

  • Second Year for A+ S&P Credit Rating

For two consecutive years, National CORE has received an A+ credit rating from Standard and Poor’s Global Ratings, recognizing the nonprofit’s strengths in organizational leadership and strategic planning that propels the nonprofit’s mission forward. Read more

  • No. 3 Nonprofit Affordable Housing Developer in U.S.

National CORE was ranked as the No. 3 nonprofit affordable housing developer in the U.S. by Affordable Housing Finance magazine! The prestigious “Top 50 Affordable Housing Developers of 2022” ranking, published in May, reflects National CORE’s start of development of 760 affordable housing units and completion of 101 units in 2022.

  • LEED Power Builder for Fifth Consecutive Year

National CORE has been named a LEED Homes Power Builder by the U.S. Green Building Council for a fifth consecutive year, cementing the organization’s role as a national leader in sustainable multifamily development! Just six developers have been honored by the USGBC for five or more years, and National CORE is the only nonprofit to record such a feat.

  • More than $2.2 Million Raised for Youth Programs

Hope through Housing raised $2.2 million in grants and donations in 2023. Some 700 community and business leaders donated more than $1.125 million during the 2023 An Evening of Hope Gala, held Oct. 5, to provide free after-school programs to children in our affordable housing communities! In June, more than 200 businesswomen and community members donated nearly $100,000 at the annual Beauty, Bubbles and Bites hosted by Women of Hope. In November, more than 120 golfers gathered for the inaugural Swing for Hope Golf Classic at Glendora Country Club, raising $100,000 more for Hope through Housing children’s programs.

  • 11 Properties Currently Under Construction

National CORE celebrated six groundbreakings this year for developments that will provide 614 new apartment homes. Read more about these soon-to-be properties:

  • Five New Community Grand Openings Celebrated in 2023 

Across Southern California, five new National CORE communities opened this year – adding 543 beautiful affordable apartments to our growing portfolio, including more than 125 homes reserved for previously unhoused individuals. Read more about each community:

In addition, two properties have completed construction and will celebrate grand openings in 2024:

        • Mountain View Apartments in Lake Forest has 71 apartments
        • Nestor Senior Village in San Diego has 74 apartments
  • National CORE Expands Footprint in Florida

National CORE is anticipating the construction of two new affordable housing communities in Florida in 2024, adding 230 more senior housing units to our portfolio as part of our national expansion efforts.

  • National CORE Productions Launches Podcast

National CORE launched Finding Your Inspiration, a podcast designed to ignite a spark of inspiration by sharing stories about individuals who have defied the odds, confronted challenges and pursued their dreams. Hosted by National CORE resident Paul Tully, the podcast airs weekly with captivating stories about individuals from all walks of life, including soldiers, child advocates, actors, chefs and so many more.
